What it does

Drop a shortcode into any page or post and visitors see a clean, interactive random-fact widget. Click "Next Fact" to cycle through, filter by category, or restrict to kid-friendly facts.

The plugin ships with all 1,000 facts bundled as JSON inside the plugin folder. There are no API calls, no remote scripts, no external dependencies, and no data is collected from your site or your visitors.

How to use it

Shortcode (anywhere):

[slodds_random_facts]

With options:

[slodds_random_facts category="Space" kid_friendly="true" theme="dark"]

Options: category (one of the 14 below), kid_friendly (true/false), theme (light/dark).

You can also drop the Slodds Random Facts Gutenberg block into the block editor.

Every fact in the plugin belongs to exactly one of these categories. Filter by category in the shortcode or block.
